In February 2026, MU16 presented a special exhibition at Annnomaly Art Space.
Rather than a display of objects, the exhibition explored a more fundamental question:
How do we experience time?
Through glass, light, water, and photography, the exhibition invited visitors to encounter time not as something measured, but as something felt.
Material and Time
Glass became the central medium of the exhibition.
Transparent yet present, fragile yet enduring, glass mirrors the nature of time itself.
It refracts light the way time refracts our emotions and memories.
Every bubble, reflection, and cooling trace carries evidence of a moment that truly happened.
In this sense, glass is not simply a material — it is a vessel of time.
Installation: “Time Appearing”
At the center of the exhibition stood the installation “Time Appearing.”
Suspended glass surfaces hovered above moving water.
Light shifted constantly across the space, transforming reflections and refractions into a living surface.
Nothing in the installation attempted to preserve time.
Instead, it allowed time to appear through change.
Visitors encountered time through movement, reflection, and presence.
Photography and Memory
Alongside the material installation were photographs taken over the years by MU16 creative partner Eros Zhu.
These images documented not only the evolution of the brand, but also moments of personal experience, emotion, and reflection.
Placed within the exhibition, they returned vanished moments back to the present — through light.
Time and Consciousness
MU16 has never been interested in grand narratives.
What we care about is consciousness — how people awaken to their own sense of time.
Because what we truly possess is not twenty-four hours in a day,
but the sixteen waking hours in which feeling, hesitation, judgment, and action take place.
Perhaps time does not need to be explained.
It only needs to be acknowledged.
And here, for a moment,
time truly happens.
